I’m highly satisfied with the Garmin eTrex Venture HC GPS Receiver because it offers best value-for-money features. Don’t be mistaken! Though reasonably priced, this device is no toy because it offers excellent outdoor locations and tracking system. Clear display (with vivid colors) is just one of its great features.

I find that its turn-on speed is lightning fast! So much quicker than other GPS devices. - Comprehensive built-in base map which includes railroad, highways, lakes, cities, and interstates:
A detailed and wide range of base map gives me the flexibility to explore more travel route options. - Accurate and highly responsive to direction changes:
Even when I’m not using it “under the open sky”, the device is able to track my movement quite accurately. - Waterproof and easy to use for outdoor activities:
Like all outdoor GPS, the waterproof and tough exterior feature is important for your GPS to last long. Garmin has updated this classic and given it a breath of fresh air.
But, there is one flaw you should consider:
The Garmin eTrex Venture HC GPS Receiver has no electronic compass or microSD slot!
